Well just finished watching episode 14 of the Walking Dead and it delivered in spades. The Walking Dead seems to have mastered this whole kind of boring but building tension and then BLAM something really terrible happens.
This whole episode is focused on Tyrese, Carol and the two little girls Lizzie and Mika. Oh yeah there is also the baby, whatever its name is. The Baby brings up the question what are they feeding that baby? Pecans? I don’t really see any formula?
Anyways the episode opens with what looks like a kid and a drunk adult playing in the yard. After a second you realize that it’s probably a zombie.
Anyways this new extended family of sorts ends up at a nice farm house with a fence and some pecans and possibly deer around to eat. It has fresh water from a well and seems like a great place to hide out and Tyresse and Carol seem to contemplating staying there.
The only problem is that Lizze is batshit crazy and basically ruins everything. It comes out that she was the one feeding the zombies through the fence at the prison and also the one torturing the animals. I thought this episode was really good because Lizzie came off as really annoying and crazy. In real life I mostly find crazy people very annoying and she definitely seem like a real nut.
Then they built up little Mika a bit before she got knifed by Lizzie, which is sort of getting old on this show. They always build up the people who are about to die right before they die. I think it would be better if they spread that out just a little bit. It was still good though.
The burnt walkers looked great, but it’s not really clear why they don’t just beat them to death rather then waste bullets on them.
Lizzie was great when she was standing there telling everyone that it was ok she killed Mika because she would come back, and she didn’t hurt her brain.
Some people are saying that fire they saw is from Daryl and Beth burning that house which would make sense, but why would there be a bunch of burned walkers? There were no walkers in the house when they set it on fire.
