Well the season finale was pretty good but sort of rushed. Daryl and the claimers catch up with Rick and in an instant everyone is dead. Rick tears the leader’s throat out with his teeth which was pretty good, not sure if that would work in real life though. Also Michonne grabbing the gun and turning it back around on that guy seem to go a bit too smoothly.
This scene was pretty much taken from the comics except that in the Comic it was Rick, Abraham and Carl. The same gist though, some raiders attack them and plan on raping Carl. Rick and Abraham kill all of them.
Rick and his crew’s surveillance of the terminius location was pretty weak obviously. The terminius people apparently have replaced the hunters from the comic, except there are major differences. For one the Hunters in the comic only had maybe 10 people and they had very few weapons. They looked for individuals to attack and then eat. They were basically pussies in a straight fight. They also only had a camp not a base. They justified eating people because they were from the city and had a lot of trouble catching game. Basically it was easier to catch people. Now in the show the Hunters seem to have like 50 people and a bunch of weapons and a base. They also seem to have some sort of crazy spiritual or religious aspect to them, shown by all the candles. By the way it seems like kind of a waste, keeping all those candles lit all the time.
Anyways its quite a cliff hanger to end the season with. The hunters and how they deal with them in the comic is kind of a pivotal point in the comic and I think they are trying to show it in the show as well. This is kind of where Rick stops being such a nice reasonable person and starts becoming way more violent and takes more of an offensive position with problem people. In stead of just being defensive and reacting to what other people do, they actually go out and eliminate potential threats.
