Well The Walking Dead started again, and it’s still going strong in my opinion.
The violence was brutal, almost more extreme then anything you see on television. The action did not stop the entire show. The throat cutting scene was horrifying like something out of the the original Texas chainsaw massacre. The leader of terminus, Garret I think his name was, calmly discussing supplies while his lackeys butchered people… was awesome.
The scene where all the survivors are trapped in the box car and all of them rapidly start producing and making weapons prison style was also great. Carol blowing shit up and then calmly sniping people, Rick looking greasy and crazy as hell mowing down the “hunters”, and Tyresse beating one the hunters to death with his bare hands were all great.
There were big differences between the comic and the show. At this point, the hunters in the comic are pretty much weaklings, who prey on weak travelers. They capture Dale ( he died awhile ago, in the show) and eat his leg. Abraham, Michonne, and Rick pretty much just kick their ass.
The “then” flashbacks which show how the Terminus people became monsters were ok. I am not positive but it appears they introduced Negan from the comic. Negan is a big villian who likes to wear wife beaters and has slicked back hair, constantly cracking off color jokes. He basically is the modern-day version of Andrew Dice Clay.
Actually just checking the web and it appears it wasn’t Negan it was actually the guy Glen rescued from the container.
They showed Morgan at the end apparently not as crazy now, he reappeared in the comic as well. SPOILER Michonne and Morgan start dating, it doesn’t end well.
