Well I just skipped over last week’s episode because it sucked so bad. A whole episode about Beth and some people held up in a hospital, no thanks.
Anyways on to this week’s episode that chronicled the journey of Abraham and crew towards Washington D.C..
This episode also was pretty weak. As usual I find myself wondering why they veered from the plot of the comic. In the comic the group did not split up, everyone traveled to Washington together.
The heart to heart scene with Abraham and Glen was boring and pointless. Overall there were big pieces of this episode that were kind of boring.
Finding the fire truck was kind of interesting and seeing Eugene use the fire hose on the Zombies was pretty good, although I am not sure if that fire hose would be strong enough to do that.
The flashback scenes of Abraham’s history were kind of annoying, all except the last one.
In the comic Rick and Abraham have a heart to heart where Abraham tells Rick how people raped and killed his wife and daughter and that he killed all of them. Some of them were teenagers, which somehow makes it more disturbing. I guess they changed that. It seems like Abraham must have been really off his rocker to scare his own wife and kids enough to make them run off in to the zombie apocalypse.
Also when Eugene admits he isn’t really a scientist was a bit different in the comics. He claims to have a radio, which he uses occasionally to call Washington, but they figure out that the batteries are dead in it and he is lying. He also goes on to say that he is not strong like Abraham, or sexy like Rosita Espinosa, and that he had to lie to survive.
He kind of gives a weaker version of the speech in the show.
That last scene where it shows how desperate Abraham was and how Eugene used his “mission” to gain his protection was the only part of the show that I really liked.
